Four Hundred and Five cricketers will be auctioned off in Kochi on December 23rd, 2022, according to the TATA IPL 2023 Player Auction list. Initially, 10 teams shortlisted Three Hundred and Sixty-Nine players from a list of 991 players. The TATA IPL 2023 auction will feature a total of 405 players, including Thirty Six more players requested by teams.
There are 405 players, 273 of whom are Indian, 132 of whom are overseas, and 4 are from associate nations. The total number of capped players is 119, the total number of uncapped players is 282, and the number of associate nations is 4.
The maximum number of slots is now 87, with 30 slots reserved for foreigners. 19 overseas players have chosen to be slotted into the highest bracket with a reserve price of INR 2 crore. The auction list includes 11 players with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Mayank Agarwal and Manish Pandey are the two Indian cricketers in the top 20 list worth INR 1 crore base price.
