Nishant Sindhu Biography: In 2011, after India won the ODI World Cup under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, Nishant Sindhu, the son of a former state-level boxer, chose cricket as his profession. When his father threw a ball toward him when he was 3 years old, he discovered he had a left-handed stance.

The Haryana U-16 team fast-tracked him, and he scored 280 runs and took 16 wickets in the 2017-18 Vijay Merchant Trophy. Sindhu’s best performance was in the 2018-19 Vijay Merchant Trophy, in which he amassed 572 runs and took 23 wickets. As captain, he led Haryana to victory over Jharkhand in the final.


In 2021, Haryana was led by the spin-bowling all-rounder Nishant Sindhu and won the Vinoo Mankad Trophy for the first time in 19 years. As part of the BCCI’s triangular series, Nishant Sindhu was named to the Indian U19 A squad in November 2021, alongside Bangladesh’s U19 team. He plays from U-14 to onward U-19. He has many records as the best all-rounder.
