Kona Srikar Bharat: On October 3, 1993, KS Bharat emerged into the world in the bustling city of Visakhapatnam, India. Raised by his father, Srinivasa Rao, a dedicated employee of the Naval Dockyard, and mother, Kona Devi, Bharat was destined for greatness from an early age.
As a young boy, his father enrolled him in the Local Cricket Association, where he began his journey as a ball boy. But it didn’t take long for Bharat to move from the sidelines to the field – by age 10, he had already begun honing his skills and playing cricket.
It was during one of his early cricket trials that the prodigious talent of Bharat was spotted by the experienced eye of Mr J. Krishna Rao. Impressed by his reflexes at such a tender age, Rao took it upon himself to mentor and guide the young athlete.
At just 12 years old, Rao recognized Bharat’s potential as a wicketkeeper and offered to train him. With each passing match, Bharat proved to be a rising star in the Under 13 to Under 19 cricket teams, representing the proud state of Andhra Pradesh and leaving a lasting impression on the field.

KS Bharat Debut: At the tender age of 19, Bharat stepped into the first-class cricket arena in 2012 against Kerala in the 2012-13 Ranji Trophy Season. He started his List-A journey with Vijay Hazare Trophy against Tamil Nadu and made his Vijay Hazare debut on 20th Feb 2012. In a remarkable feat, he created history in Feb 2015 as the first wicketkeeper to hit a triple hundred in the Ranji Trophy.
During the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy season, Bharat’s batting skills shone brightly as he amassed an impressive 758 runs in just 9 matches. With a remarkable 308 runs off 311 deliveries in a single inning for Andhra Pradesh against Goa in Ongole, he established himself as a formidable opening batsman.
A player who has been a beacon of consistency for Andhra in the prestigious tournament, he has once again proved his mettle by registering another impressive hundred, adding to his already impressive record of a triple. Along with his two fifties, he has been a dominant force at the crease and a player to watch out for.


His remarkable skills were on full display in the 2019-2020 Ranji Trophy in Vijayawada, where he scored a standout hundred against Vidarbha, cementing his status as a formidable batsman in the game of cricket. Batting as the fifth player in the lineup, he bravely stepped up to the plate.
He unleashed unforgettable innings of 102 runs without being dismissed, ultimately securing a victory for his team. In July 2018, his impressive performance earned him well-deserved recognition, as he was selected to represent India Blue in the highly-anticipated 2018-2019 Duleep Trophy tournament.

In the month of November 2019, KS Bharat made his way onto India’s Test roster for their encounter with Bangladesh in the second match, standing in for the unavailable Wriddhiman Saha. Two years later, in the month of May 2021, KS Bharat received another call-up to India’s Test squad, this time for their series against England, once again filling in for Saha.
November 2021 marked a historic moment for Bharat as he stepped onto the cricket field as a replacement for the injured Wriddhiman Saha in the 1st Test match against the reigning world test champions, New Zealand.
The match was held during the New Zealand tour of India in 2021. With the weight of expectations on his shoulders, Bharat proved his mettle as a wicket-keeper by taking two crucial catches and dismissing Tom Latham with a brilliant stumping off the bowling of Axar Patel, sending him back to the pavilion for 95.
Bharat’s talent was recognized in February 2022, as he earned a place in India’s Test squad for their series against Sri Lanka. KS Bharat Test Debut: On February 9, 2023, Bharat embarked on his Test cricket journey as he took the field for the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
